چکیده

Submillimetre HCO+(J = 4− 3) mapping observations of the immediate environs of the infrared source IRS 7 in Corona Australis have provided corroborative evidence for the existence of the rotating molecular disk detailed in our earlier paper. An improved estimate of 0.8M for the mass of the central protostar is obtained.

A molecular disk and dense outflow in Corona Australis

The central region of the molecular outflow in the R Coronae Australis cloud was mapped in HCO+(J = 1 − 0), H13CO+(J = 1 − 0), HCO+(J = 3 − 2) and C18O(J = 2 − 1) with the SEST. In addition to the maps, selected positions were observed in SiO(J = 2 − 1, v = 0). The observations reveal a complex system consisting of a dense core, a rotating molecular disk around the infrared source IRS 7 and a d...

High Spatial Resolution Observations of Two Young Protostars in the R Corona Australis Region

We present multi-wavelength, high spatial resolution imaging of the IRS 7 region in the R Corona Australis molecular cloud. Our observations include 1.1 mm continuum and HCO J = 3 → 2 images from the SMA, CO J = 3 → 2 outflow maps from the DesertStar heterodyne array receiver on the HHT, 450 μm and 850 μm continuum images from SCUBA, and archival Spitzer IRAC and MIPS 24 μm images. The accurate...

Deuterium fractionation and the degree of ionization in the R Coronae Australis molecular cloud core

The fractionation of D and 13C in HCO+ was investigated in the R Coronae Australis molecular cloud core. The distributions of H13CO+ and DCO+ were found to be morphologically similar but their column density maxima were found to lie in different locations. The H13CO+/HC18O+ abundance ratio was found to vary little from 10 within the mapped region, in excellent agreement with the 13CO/C18O abund...

The origin of the molecular emission around the southern hemisphere Re 4 IRS – HH 188 region

Context. We present SEST observations of the molecular environment ahead of the southern Herbig-Haro object 188 (HH 188), associated with the low-mass protostar Re 4 IRS. We have also used the SuperCosmos Hα survey to search for Hα emission associated with the Re 4 IRS – HH 188 region. Aims. The aim of the present work is to study the properties of the molecular gas and to better characterize t...

High - resolution observations at λ = 3 mm of the OH 231 . 8 + 4 . 2 molecular outflow

We present high spatial resolution observations of HCO+ (J=1–0), SO (J=22–11), H13CN (J=1–0), SiO (v = 1, J = 2–1), and the continuum at 3 mm from OH 231.8+4.2, taken with the IRAM interferometer at Plateau de Bure. We also report the first detection of NS in circumstellar envelopes. The overall distribution of the emission of all molecules (except for HCO+ and the SiO maser) is similar to that...
